GIGLIO TRAIL

Art. 1 ORGANIZATION – The Sports Association  1063AD SSD A r.l. organizes: Sunday, May 19, 2019 the Giglio Trail, ride semi-self-sufficiency with path in mountain and woodland setting. The race is on two tracks:

LONG 26.4 km 1350 m D +, starting at 08:00 and time up to 6 hours.

SHORT 10.6 Km 550 m D +, starting at 08:00 and time up to 4 hours

The departure is scheduled for Sunday morning at 08:00 am from Via di Campese Campese

Art. 2 PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS – For the participation in the race are compulsory and binding:

For ITALIAN ATHLETES The medical certification of fitness to practice competitive activity for the discipline Athletics, valid on the date of the race.

FOREIGN ATHLETES It is mandatory for the declaration of physical fitness.

For participation in the race is needed: experience off road – a head for heights races – great workout – dress appropriately at a temperature which can range from +5 to + 25 ° C with a capacity to handle at best even sudden changes in weather.

Art. 3 SEMI-SELF-SUFFICIENCY – The semi-self-sufficiency is defined as the ability to be autonomous between two refreshment, and this refers to security, nutrition and the equipment, allowing it to adapt to observed or predicted problems such as bad weather, physical complaints, wounds etc.

This principle implies the following rules:

Every runner must carry throughout the entire race around the obligatory equipment. This must be presented to collect race and at all times, the race officials will ensure that competitors have with them all the required equipment. The competitor is obliged to submit to these checks, under penalty of disqualification.

The dining options are supplied with drinks and food to consume on the spot. The organization provides only plain water for filling water bottles or camel bag. At the start of each refreshment point, runners must have the amount of water and food needed to reach the next refreshment point.

Art. 4 REGISTRATION – Registration Requirements

C) The registration fee includes:

race number – assistance and refreshments along the course – goody bag – good post-race pasta party – gadgets for finisher

F) A copy of the medical certificate must be sent electronically or delivered simultaneously to enrollment at the time of the withdrawal of the race pack.

H) Cancellation – no refunds for cancellation of the race is not expected if and when, given the weather conditions and / or other unforeseeable adverse conditions, the organization decides not to make the race. The fees paid will remain frozen and valid for the future edition.

No exchanges permitted or bib disposals.

In the event of interruption or cancellation of the race for weather reasons, or for any other reasons beyond the Organization, no refund will be due to the participants.

Art. 5 MEDICAL CERTIFICATION – For Italians athletes is required to deliver a copy of the medical certificate valid at the bibs collection. The accepted medical certificates are those who respond to B1 model: athletics, running, endurance and skiing (downhill excluded). participation will be allowed only to those who present the FIDAL membership card or other body to promote sports, not accompanied by a medical certificate. For motor play mode is not mandatory medical certificate type B1.

They will not be considered valid upfront certified by e-mail.

Art. 6 START NUMBER AND RACE – The withdrawal bib and race packet operations will take place at the sports facilities of Campese Giglio from 16 to 20 Saturday, May 19, and from 06:30 to Sunday, May 19 07:30

The bib will be delivered only on presentation of:

an identity document and after delivery of a copy of the medical certificate – Presentation of mandatory equipment required – Relise GiglioTrail 2019 completed and countersigned

Any medical certificates submitted in the original will not be returned, even after the race.

Art. 7 DEPARTURE – Competitors must present themselves in Via Campese Campese until Sunday 19 May 2019  07:30.

At 08: 00 will be kicked off. Inside the sports Campese systems work of the premises used as a dressing room and storage bags.

The organization is not responsible for objects left inside the storage bags.

Art. 8 PATH – The path of the Giglio Trail is classified with the blue label: category E.

Art. 9 SAFETY AND CONTROL – On the way there will be organizational and personnel involved in the emergency medical service in constant contact with the base. Ambulances with medical personnel stationed at different points of the route, as well as the departure and arrival, which will also present a doctor. Along the route shall be set up checkpoints, where officers of the organization will monitor the passage of athletes and will check the mandatory equipment. Anyone who refuses to undergo the mandatory equipment check will be immediately disqualified.

Art. 10 ENVIRONMENT – Competitors must keep respect the environment, so that waste, pick up flowers or harass wildlife. Anyone will be surprised to leave litter along the path will be disqualified from the competition and will incur in any penalties provided by municipal regulations. To reduce the environmental impact, at the refreshment points they will not be provided glasses. Each participant must bring a glass or a bottle to be filled at the refreshment. The Trail of the Monti Pisani joined the campaign promoted by the Spirit Trail “I do not throw my waste”.

Art. 11 WEATHER – In the event of significant weather phenomena (fog, storms), the organization reserves the right to carry out, even at the last minute or during the course of the race, the route changes to eliminate potential hazards or conditions of great distress for the participants. Any changes will be communicated to participants and reported by employees. The organization also reserves the right to suspend or cancel the race if the weather mettessero at risk the safety of the participants, volunteers and rescuers.

Art. 12 MATERIAL REQUIRED – For the Long Trail is mandatory to bring, for the entire duration of the race, the following material: camelbag or cages containing almeno1,5 liters of water – race number, prominently led perhaps by using the media also used in triathlon during the entire duration of the trip – whistle – wind stop – personal food stocks (bars, etc.) – mug, glass or bottle (no glass at the refreshment) – phone: enter the emergency numbers of the Organization, keeping always on the phone, does not mask the number and starting with the battery charge

RECOMMENDED MATERIAL – trousers covering the knees – gloves – road-book – appropriate footwear. They recommend Category A5.

Art. 12 BIS TRAIL SHORT MATERIAL REQUIRED – it is mandatory to bring, for the entire duration of the race, the following material:

The mandatory equipment check will be made to the withdrawal of the chest. The race number will not be handed over to those who will not show the staff the whole mandatory equipment. There will also be surprise checks along the path.

Art. 13 DISQUALIFICATION AND PENALTIES ‘- it will be immediately disqualified, with withdrawal of the race number, with the following offenses:

failure to transition from a control point – cutting the race course – littering on the course – failing to assist a competitor in difficulty – insults or threats to organizers or volunteers – use of means of transport in the race – refusal to submit to the control of medical personnel on the course – refusal to submit to the compulsory material control and qual’ora blatant abandonment of obligatory material expected.

Art. 14 TIME LIMIT, RETREATS LONG TRAIL – The maximum time to reach arrival is 6 hours (until 14.00 on Sunday, May 19, 2019). a “wheeler is expected” that will travel the route following the last competitor, in order to help to prevent any injured withdrawn and remain without assistance.

SHORT TRAIL – The maximum time to reach arrival is 4 hours (before 12.00 of Sunday, May 19, 2019). a “wheeler is expected” that will travel the route following the last competitor, in order to help to prevent any injured withdrawn and remain without assistance.

To protect the health of the participants, the medical staff present at checkpoints or along the path is enabled to stop the competitor who will not be judged suitable to the continuation of the race. In this case the competitor must follow the directions of medical staff, under penalty of immediate disqualification.

The joints competitors to time gates out of time, the injured, those who will be judged by medical personnel unfit to continue the race, and other athletes who want to retire voluntarily, will be accompanied on arrival. It is possible that, for logistical reasons, the retired competitors must wait a bit ‘of time before being shown in the finish area. The food and the dining drinks must be consumed on the spot; it is forbidden to drink straight from bottles of refreshments; waste must be disposed of in the appropriate containers.

Water bottles or the camelbag can only be filled with water. It is therefore recommended to competitors to carry the required amount of minerals to be used during the race.

At the start of every refreshment runners will have to have the amount of water and food necessary to get to the next refreshment.

Upon arrival there will be a further liquid refreshment; In addition, each participant will receive a meal voucher to use at the stand of the City after arrival.

Art. 16 PRIZES – There are no cash prizes.

Art. 17 RIGHTS OF IMAGE – By signing the registration form and / or enrollment online at 1st Trail of the Giglio Trail , the athlete, as of now, authorizes the organization to freely use of images, fixed and / or moving, depicting them and collected on the occasion of his participation in the GPT.
